Q&A With Jeremy Babcock - June 2026

I’m back!  I deferred to renewing Exclusive Andrew Delta last month, but you get me again for June!   We’re currently collecting questions for another returning fella, Vincent Grey, too.  So get your questions in!!

As always, some really fun questions this month.  I’m a pretty open book, so feel free to submit whatever you want in the submission field down below!

Enjoy!

June ASGmax Q&A with Jeremy

What’s in your opinion the biggest misconception about porn that people have? – Jack Jack formally jackofalltrade

I could do one of these monthly… maybe I will! haha.  Let’s do a wild card.

“CHEMISTRY” – I won’t say it doesn’t exist, but you’d be shocked how often it’s entirely in the mind of the viewer.  Sometimes it’s really there, sometimes it’s VERY much not, but the way the actions are captured does more to convey that implied chemistry than the reality on set.

My hot take is that the director creates more of that chemistry for the viewers than the models do.  If anything, “real” model chemistry results in the guys not following directions, becoming distracted, closing off to the camera, or wasting the energy OFF set.

Why are Chaosmen and DownlowBoys not under the ASG Max umbrella but separate from the main site? I know ASGmax features scenes from those brands, but are they also produced by ASGmax’s directors?   So I’m wondering why they’re not bundled within the site like Pride Studios, for example. – JustMy2Cents

It’s a little twisty, but the simplest explanation is that they have different ownership.  ASGmax is partially owned by Gamma, but other Gamma sites aren’t owned by ASG.  So we consider Chaos, DLB, and Adult Time to be “internal partners,” but we operate entirely separately.

In terms of directors, there aren’t many production teams who are fully exclusive to a studio.  We’ve worked with the teams who produce for Adult Time, Chaos, and DLB, though not regularly.  Even broader than that, there are crews out there who produce for several sites.  There aren’t many sites who are shooting enough to be full time work, so teams aren’t super brand loyal (nor should they be).

ASG has historically produced enough content to keep our primary teams working full time.  Currently that means Micah Martinez and his crew are shooting mostly for us all month.

What has been the feedback from ASG International? Are you guys directly producing ASG International, or is it farmed out? – Escapada
ASGmax International

Glad you asked!   The International brand was rolled out with much different goals than the rest of our content.  I took a pretty deep dive on that when we launched ASG International, but here’s a little refresher and some updates.

First of all, this project was a moment of opportunity. Jax Thirio was heading to the Euro Grabbys and wanted to pick up content.  I’d worked with him on some Homemade scenes during covid lockdowns, so we had an existing relationship, and this was a nice project to collaborate on.

I’d really wanted to produce some content with non-US models, but taxes and payment get tricky for us, so shooting overseas works out great.  Jax had such a deep roster of models we upped the initial plan from 8 to 10 and ultimately to 12 scenes.

This was intended to be a super low budget pilot program to get new models on the site and gauge interests, and we learned a lot from it!  Scene performance is hit and miss.  The scenes featuring recognizable models fared better on the site, but being able to feature so many new models made the series really valuable for us in terms of introducing new people to our brand across the globe.

As of this writing, I can confirm we picked up 9 new scenes on our trip to Torremolinos for the European Grabbys.  It’s almost entirely different guys this year, and it’s all shot and directed by Micah Martinez, so you’ll see a lot more of the style you’d see in our other ASG content.

A little teaser… some of the names include Jake Mathews, Leo Adonis, Tom Storm, Alex Brand, Justin Jett, and Jonzo Jones.

How is the current state of the economy affecting your business? I imagine inflation and airline prices are having an impact. Are you prioritizing West Coast models over East Coast ones to save on production costs? Plus, is the homebase still split between San Diego and Las Vegas, and how do you decide which location to use? – JustMy2Cents

I came into the industry in 2019, so I got to see the pre-Covid – and mostly pre Fan Site – era.  Much has changed… As you mention, travel and airlines are where we took the hardest hit.  Our risk of loss on any given model is super high these days.  Airlines don’t refund travel, so any model who flakes is just flushed money for us – and it happens often.  Hotel costs have also gone up a ton, and being based in Vegas is a mixed bag with random surges throughout the year.

We moved most of our operations to Vegas in 2024, which has been cheaper for flights and generally easier for locations, as well.  We do still have one-off projects with other teams around the country, but Vegas is 95% now.   Luckily with Vegas being more central it’s opened up casting range a bit.  We can take bigger risks on models from Chicago and even NYC lately – but Florida and Atlanta are still wildly expensive.  The orange menace’s tariff games and wars aren’t helping travel costs, either.

You are absolutely correct to assume travel costs have had an effect.  2026 has been BRUTAL.  The orange moron’s wars have taken a toll on a lot of things, but the price of flights is WAY up.  Even flights from LA are nearly double in many cases.  We’re far more strategic right now with who we fly in and why – which means models who want to make a career from a smaller town just aren’t getting as many bookings from us or any other studio.

How could I work on the social team? I think the brand would benefit from a more active social media presence. – Trey

Social media has a wildly low ROI for us, so we tend to keep it going, but not invest greatly in it.  IG is ban happy, X is randomly zapping adult accounts, and Reddit and TikTok are also very limiting.   Social media is a bit of brand awareness, but mostly not finding paying customers there.  That said, I’m on X, IG, and Bluesky, so hit me up!  If you want a low paying gig promoting your favorite studio, maybe there’s a good fit.  I agree, we need the help.

I know you mentioned that fan sites and studio audiences don’t have much crossover. However, I do see a lot of studios go after the flavor-of-the-month, I guess, fansite models who blow up really fast because they are everywhere at every studio. Do you take into consideration their instant popularity to get more subscriptions to your site? I would say the current popular fan site boys are Brandon Dallas, Paolo Bruni, and Gymbro Chris.  So would you actively recruit them to your benefit? I would say the return is a mixed bag because some fan site models either do well in the studio or are just terrible. – Preston Piper

You kinda nailed this.  It’s not so much us chasing the flavor of the month as it is having the benefit of seeing who can build an audience.  A model who can build their own following is likely somebody who our members will enjoy watching.

There are often models who have been out there trying unsuccessfully to build an audience for years – and we’re less likely to book them.  I’ll maintain that studio and fan site subscribers are generally distinct groups, but they often like the same guys – just in different delivery formats and quality expectations.

The other side of the coin is that popular Fan Site guys are rarely interested in studio work.  It’s a different game, and unless they want to expand their reach, most don’t care for the other style of work.  (spoiler alert, it’s work)

Hi, while this is not a question about production etc, it is a question I have interest in.  I am sure there are many others wondering the same thing. Is there any chance of AI chat feature returning anytime soon? It was one of the best bonus features of the site and one of the reasons I would keep subscribing. While I understand there may have been reasons to remove it, my hope is that work is being done to resolve these issues and bring it back. I really hope that time is given for feedback to this as I am sure many subscribers feel like I do. In saying that thank you for the quality of work you produce and the efforts of your directors, producers, set staff and models. ASGmax offers some of the best adult entertainment out there. Really look forward to hearing back. – Rorydog

As you may know, the removal of this feature was forced upon us by a financial processor – which isn’t something we get much negotiation power on, nor can we push back.  THAT SAID – there is hope.  There are discussions and clarifications currently in process that might lead to this ban being dropped.  If we’re able to make the required changes, it might happen.  The “when” is impossible to guess, but there is work being done behind the scenes to bring the feature back.

We loved having it as much as you enjoyed using it, I promise.

Any collabs you can hint? – Jackjack

Things have been SO busy for all of us that nothing is locked in yet, but I am aiming for Fall.  I badly want to work with Men At Play again, especially in a co-director capacity, but the timing and logistics are HARD with all that travel.  Can’t say enough how much I liked working with them, though.

After the major success of Wild Game, there’s also a lot of reasons to collab with Naked Sword again, another group who I really enjoy as humans, but the logistics and timing keep mismatching.  Really determined to work with Ben Rush at some point, though.

I know you love your job. But, do you get any Jeremy time? Like relaxing, taking a breather. – Jack jack formally jackofalltrade

It’s funny because I wasn’t a workaholic before this job.  As an ad agency editor, I was the type to clock out and forget it all until the next day.   I’m super competitive and with my heart in something I just want it to be great.  As long as I’m steering this ship, I want to do everything I can to make it kick ass!  Hardest part of the internet and porn is that it doesn’t take a day off – so any rest feels like slippage.  All that said… other than my crazy travel spurts (I just completed Europe, Vegas, and Chicago for work trips) – I’m pretty chill at home.  I try to walk away after 40 hours each week (it’s hard).

Hardest way to say it is that I fucking LOVE this job, so the work doesn’t always feel like work and isn’t always draining.   Micah and I have become a really solid team because he’s the same way.  Actual text from him yesterday in relation to work – “We have each other because we are both the same brand of crazy.”

Have you guys thought of getting a moderator for the comments? I know all of you are busy and try to step in when the trolls are in “heat” but I wouldn’t like the comments to be turned off because of some people. I enjoy to read why a person likes or dislikes a scene when it is constructive – Jack Jack formally jackofalltrade

Comments are a controversial subject around these parts.  Most of our network has removed them, with ASG hanging on due to our WAY above average member engagement – something I’ve fought for and worked to maintain in my time here.   I recently got the ability to moderate, and I am VERY defensive when people attack models in any way.  I’m pretty OCD about reading our comments, so unless it’s the weekend, I try to jump on them pretty quickly.

I actually really like the additional context when people do or don’t like a scene.  It helps us dial in our casting or concepts.  ** Scene production critiques are entirely uninteresting to me, btw.  Not every scene goes smoothly, and we usually know where we fell short.  That’s just the reality of our work.  No ‘redo’s”

Love seeing the increased number of member fantasies in the pipeline! How does one get their scene considered? Any tips on how to submit one that gets chosen? – Nate H

I’m trying to do them twice a year now, which means we’re due for the next!

I have two ways that I generally use them, so let me share.   FIRST, if I have two models paired, I’ll search that doc for their names and if one (or both) appear in the suggested models field, I’ll try to make the concept.   So #1 – suggest a LOT of models who could fit your idea, but don’t dictate a specific pairing or it probably will never happen.  I won’t risk having you upset at doing the concept against your wishes.

Second – if the concept doesn’t align with our models, our locations, or our budgets.   YES, I know everyone thinks they like orgies, and a scene in an airport would be amazing, and a model from fifteen years ago has somehow not aged a day – but those just aren’t realities in most cases.  #2 – Ideas that fit in a house, with models we currently work with, and DUO pairings are the most likely to get made, by a landslide.

Any chance we’ll ever see Conrad Parker in front of the camera at ASG? I’m a big fan of his directed videos here, and his fan page content, and would love to see him performing with some of the ASG exclusive models. I totally get it if that crosses some kind of line, though! – anon

For somebody who started behind the camera in studio work, Conrad never had interest in being in front of the camera for the same type of work.  FULLY open invite for him and Mike should they ever want to do it, though.

I love the ‘ask Jeremy’ post and the performer ones. Could you ask Micah and Jessica if they would like to do one?  I know they are busy. But it would be fun to see their POV and experiences with the brand. – Jack Jack formally jackofalltrade

Glad you like them!  I do fully plan to expand from just me (frankly I find it cathartic to talk about the nerdy sides of my job), so models and anyone else behind the scenes is fair game!  I’ll for sure get Micah to do one. It’s fairly recent, but Jess stepped away from her role at our sister company Gamma, so she’s not with the company anymore.  (I’ll still try!)

Are there any opportunities to work with the ASGmax production team? – Anon

For once.  Yes!   Two, in fact.

We are currently looking to add a videographer to our Vegas production crew.  Videography experience IS required – love of porn is not.  Must be a Las Vegas local to be considered.  We provide equipment.  12-14 days per month.

And second, I’m looking for freelance video editors.  MUST have real editing experience and samples to show.  Fully remote.  Must have your own equipment.

DM me on my socials with legitimate inquiries!  (IG, X, BSKY)
