Disruptive Films Buzzing with The Hive Feature

This thrilling film brings together an all-star cast, including ASG Exclusives Andrew Delta, Carter Woods, Trevor Harris, and Justin Matthews, along with Jay Wu, Ty Santana, and Colt Spence.  The Hive tells the story of best friends Andrew & Trevor who leave Andrew’s boyfriend Carter behind to go to a wellness retreat. Once there, they meet ringleader Matthews, flanked by his faithful helpers Ty and Jay.  Andrew and Trevor find that things aren’t quite as advertised, and not everyone is as they seem.  

The Hive marks the first Disruptive Films collaboration between ‘dynamic duo’ Micah Martinez and Jeremy Babcock. “I’ve always wanted to produce another project for Disruptive Films,” commented Babcock, “The Hive dropped into my lap unexpectedly, but it was awesome to brainstorm with Micah and see it take shape.  This is the first of many really awesome and unique Disruptive scenes coming from us through the rest of 2026”

To dig deeper into The Hive, we asked Micah Martinez a few questions about his first Disruptive Feature.

Talk about how this concept came together.  What about this concept resonated with you?

The concept came to me very quickly based on how cults get so much attention nowadays and whenever reporters do a deep dive into cult mentality, they discuss how most of the members are twisted into being a part of it by different pains that they have being used against them. Once the idea came to me, all the characters became fleshed out in my head and I HAD to write it out.

What’s unique or different about this feature that you think people will like?

This feature is really set apart from my other features thus far because it has so many “main” characters with arcs, chemistry and backstories or characters that are more fleshed out. No one is here just to take up space, and real effort went into making sure everyone of these characters came to life over this four parter.

How did you decide who you wanted to cast for this story?

I was determined to make my roster for this feature as eclectic and diverse as possible, while also roping in as many people as possible that have some serious acting chops. Luckily every single one of my first picks was available and brought their A Game for this one! 

Any fun moments or stories from on set for this one?

Trevor Harris got fucked so hard he broke a bed the first day of filming! Hahaha.

What else do you want to tell the fans?

I hope you all enjoy this feature! It was a blast to film and even with all the big and amazing changes going on in this world and industry, I am so happy I can bring another high end and well executed feature film that I had an absolute blast making from start to finish!
