Disruptive’s “The Freaks Next Door”: A Little Horror, A Lot of Heat

Disruptive Films is excited to announce its latest film, “The Freaks Next Door.” In “The Freaks Next Door,” Tim Sanderson (Trevor Harris) arrives at a vacation rental next to the seemingly ordinary Lakewood household. However, when Greg and Max Lakewood (DeAngelo Jackson and Jayden Marcos) warn Tim of bizarre sexual cult activities in the vacation rental, Tim decides to trust them and stay with the Lakewoods instead. But Greg and Max aren’t who they say they are, and Tim is about to be led into a web of dark desires and secrets.

We sat down with the film’s stars to get their thoughts on the production and beyond.

Was the “Freaks Next Door” more of a horror movie for you or a hot concept?

Jayden: It was a cross of both for me honestly. It was creepy in all the right ways

Trevor: Once the chanting started, this became much more of a horror movie for me! But then the sex turned it into a hot, still scary, concept.

DeAngelo: I think it was a mixture of both.

What would you do in Trevor’s position?

Jayden: If I was in Tevor’s position, I’d probably have been all “Damn, all you had to do was ask guys.”

DeAngelo: Run without looking back.

How did you prepare for your role in this movie?

Trevor: I wanted to go into it as innocent and unknowing as possible, just like my character was, so I deliberately tried not to read Jayden and DeAngelo’s lines.

DeAngelo: Studied my lines until I felt comfortable with my character and theme.

Jayden: Honestly I didn’t do a whole lot of prep. I feel like if I try to, it just makes me stiff. I like going with the flow and giving what I’m feeling whenever possible.

Were there any memorable or challenging moments from the filming process?

Trevor: Again the part where DeAngelo and Jayden chant at me, It was both chilling and hilarious. And then one of the stage lights fell over and burned a hole in the floor during all of this. I blame the cult stuff

DeAngelo: The strange chanting was very hard to get through.

Jayden:  The most memorable part was probably when we were filming the outdoor portion. I was just needing around dry humping a rake and it ended up becoming some hilarious bts

What was your favorite part of working on this movie?

Trevor: Watching Jayden garden while shirtless. Such a hottie!

DeAngelo: Talking with the cast and crew. Great energy.

Jayden: Coming up with the chant was probably my favorite part. It was totally on the spot but it ended up being fun and just freaky enough lol

How did the production team affect your experience on set?

Trevor: Anytime I work with Conrad (Parker), Big Mike and Diego I have such a blast. With this scene I remember appreciating Conrad showing me the shots he was getting of me walking through the house scared, this helped me improve a lot with each take.

DeAngelo: Having a professional but inviting production team makes the job so much easier and everyone was on point.

Jayden: They helped create a very safe and friendly environment that really let us have fun with the production.

Can you describe the atmosphere and energy on set during filming?

Trevor: Always fun and light with the boys, And it was really awesome meeting and filming with Deangelo for the first time!

DeAngelo: Positive, professional, and relaxed.

Jayden: It was a chill and lay back experience with a lot of laughs

How did you approach the sex scene in this film compared to others you’ve worked on?

Trevor: My character is more reserved, which is easier for me to play during sex. So I let the guys take the lead and joined the cult.

DeAngelo: The same as any other film. I step on set ready to get to work and get the job done. I’d prefer not to be on set all day if at all possible.

Jayden: I would like to say I approached it the same way I would any other. Go in with a positive attitude and have fun with it. It’s sex, let’s have a good time with it.

See the guys in action on July 5, 2024— only on Disruptive Films.
