First Look:  ASGmax Films 4-part anthology series

Just in time for Fall “Spooky Season,” ASGmax Films is set to release the awesome 4-part limited anthology series “End Of Your World.” Four stories with one common theme. What choices would you make if it was the end of your world as you know it? The stakes have never been higher, and the sex has never been hotter.

This series is a new experiment for ASGmax. A feature with conceptually connected stories, but not otherwise connected. This is a bold step in a more fictional direction for ASGmax, with wild scenarios and characters.  Each film explores a different vibe and genre. “It’s All Over” is dramatic and intense.  “The Promotion” is a lighthearted comedy. “Not Who You Thought” is an intense thriller. Finally, “Bucket List” is lighthearted and sentimental. Loaded with an all-star cast and stunning visuals, this series is going to be a perfect Halloween treat as they roll out in October and November.

Let’s take a look at each of these 4 epic films!

It’s All Over

In the midst of a global zombie apocalypse, 2 best friends are fighting to survive, left with only each other. Johnny Donovan and ASGmax Exclusive Justin Matthews deliver intense, heartfelt performances as they think back on their lives, and things they wish they’d done differently.

The story finds Justin and Johnny hiding out in a house,  just scraping by, finding food and shelter wherever they can. Their friendship is tested when one reveals secrets and regrets to the other, but the challenges mount even further after a zombie attack!

“This is the idea that started the entire anthology plan I had for this project.” Writer & Director Micah Martinez said. “I’ve always been known for spooky ideas and horror and I wanted to really lean into the isolation between two different people in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. Really bringing it to life was so much fun, from loving zombie media for my entire life to being able to have fun with the human aspect has really been a dream of mine that’s come to fruition.”

“It’s All Over” is streaming on ASGmax on October 4th.

The Promotion

Going a much lighter direction from the previous scene, “The Promotion” stars ASGmax Exclusive models Ryder Owens and Noah Asli in a comedic look at vampires in the workplace. Taking cues from television docu-comedies, this scene tells the story of a clueless assistant (Ryder) who has been working for a vampire (Noah) without realizing it. When he’s up for a promotion it’s time for secrets to be revealed. Will Ryder end his current life for his dream job?

Martinez gives us the scoop! “Once we got the ball rolling with making this an anthology, I really wanted to have fun with it. I thought, what better way than leaning into horror comedy. I leaned into having some fun with brands like ‘What We Do In The Shadows’ and really going full tilt with blood and light gore and having the laughs thrown in for good measure! Ryder and Noah definitely delivered on that!”

“The Promotion” is streaming on ASGmax on October 18th.

Not Who You Thought

Next up, we have ASGmax Exclusive Jayden Marcos along with Evan Jordie as a pair of friends doing whatever they can to escape a deranged killer who’s hunting them down. Blockaded in a room, the guys share their thoughts, regrets, and… lust with each other in what could be their final moments.

“No horror would be complete without giving some respect to the genre that revitalized the entire horror genre: slashers.” Martinez told us of the film. “I wanted to lean into some of the cardinal rules of slashers – the main being, don’t have sex in a horror movie or you die. More than happy to have Jayden and Evan giving you a full lesson in that!”

“Not Who You Thought” is streaming on ASGmax on November 1st.

Bucket List

Capping off the End Of Your World feature is “Bucket List,” starring ASGmax Exclusives Carter Woods and Vincent Grey with Trevor Brooks. This final film explores the sexual side of a natural disaster film.  With the world ending, how do you spend those last moments? Who do you want to spend them with? A heartfelt, touching conclusion to this awesome project.

Martinez elaborates. “This one was the most interesting to write when I was first coming up with the idea. How do I keep a scene as close to the ASGmax formula as possible while still having an ending that brought everything together. I wanted this to be the most “lighthearted” of the four in this series as it tied a nice bow on everything. Putting a nice close on the “horror” of it all and getting back to what brings us back to what we are known for, because once we are done here: it’s alllll over.”

“Bucket List” is streaming on ASGmax on November 15th.

I love American Horror Story, What We Do in the Shadows and Interview with a Vampire, The Walking Dead. I’m really excited about this. The ASG Halloween movies are usually a fun treat. The cast lineup looks good too.

This series is very ambitious, as it requires decent scripts & performers capable of delivering dramatic/comedic performances & a spontaneous, passionate sexual encounter while remaining in character. I hope practical special effects will be used instead of bad CGI.
